Our portfolio contains Before - After photos of completed garments. This title page shows all the “Before” photos - showing kimonos as they arrived from Japan - Beautiful in all their vintage glory (requiring only a traditional obi to complete the classic Japanese look). Each of these kimonos has been transformed into a modern day garment ready to wear on the street. Click on each kimono to see the finished look. Beyond the transformation from ancient to modern, please take time to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship embodied in each garment.

Additionally, I’ve added a small selection of accessories culled from the kimono world. I’ve added bow ties, made from kimono sleeves. And I’ve added “scarves” that are actually repurposed special purpose obi decorations.
